Dress Code

The Ace Dress Code promotes unity and helps students dance to the best of their ability! We strive to create a nurturing, professional atmosphere where dancers learn and develop excellent technique. Arriving on time, hair secured, and in proper dress code will help your child gain confidence, poise, and the most out of every class. On our Dress Code, (F) indicates female-identifying and (M) indicates male-identifying.

Required Hair
  • Securely pulled back, away from the face and off the neck
  • Ponytails are highly recommended
  • Female ballet students in the Secondary Division are required to wear a neat bun
How to Do a Bun
Pull hair back into a ponytail and fasten with a hair tie; thick hair needs multiple hair ties. Use hair products such as water spray, hair spray, and/or gel; securely clip back bangs and any stray hairs. Twist the hair into a tight spiral and wind it around the holder in a circular path, securing it with bobby pins or hairpins as you go. Depending on hair length and thickness, at least 10-15 pins are generally needed. Cover the bun with a hair net and anchor the net with pins. One final spray of hair product and you’re ready for class!
