Ace Dance Academy Faculty

Sophia Margiotta is currently working towards her BFA in Dance at San Diego State University with a minor in Digital and Social Media Studies. She has been dancing for fourteen years and has extensive background training in contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap. She is an alumnus of Ace Dance Academy; Sophia was a studio member for ten years and competed with the Ensemble for eight years. Through the Ensemble Program, she won multiple scholarships with the Dupree and Encore Dance Competitions.During her time at San Diego State, Sophia has been an active member of the University Dance Company where she worked in collaboration with her peers for “i before e except after c” with Joseph Alter and “It’s All the Time'' with Leslie Seiters. Both pieces were sent to compete at the American College Dance Association’s regional conferences in 2024. Sophia was also selected by SDSU Staff to be Dance Club President, due to her passion and commitment to the improvement of the program. Her post-graduation plans consist of pursuing dance as a performer, teacher, and choreographer.
