Instructor

Micah Sallid is a Los Angeles native who began studying with Arlene Kennedy Universal Dance Design at 17 months old and danced with the Kennedy Tap Company. Along with tap, at a young age, she studied ballet, jazz, and hip hop. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia for her high school years and danced for Decatur City Dance in their Apprentice Ensemble Ballet/Jazz Company and Junior Rhythm Keepers Tap Company. She was also an intern in choreography for three consecutive years with the Broadway Dreams Foundation and toured multiple cities. In May 2019 she graduated from Saint Mary's College with a BA in Dance and a minor in Women & Gender Studies. During Micah's time at Saint Mary's, she performed with the Saint Mary's Dance Company and also danced in numerous Graduate shows. In 2019, Micah's senior thesis was chosen to represent Saint Mary's at the American College Dance Association and she was the proud recipient of the Louis Lefevre Award for Performing Arts. Upon graduation, she spent time in Suzhou, China as the Assistant Director and Choreographer in a children's Musical Theatre Camp. Micah is excited to join the Ace Dance faculty, share knowledge with the students, and cultivate community!
